Sam Davies (Principle Chiropractor – MChiro DC and Movement Specialist)
Where She Began
Sam has always been in professions in which she has cared for other people. It was through a back injury she sustained as a care worker that she was first introduced to chiropractic. She has never looked back. Sam decided after only a few treatments that this is what she wanted to do for other people. This is because she was so amazed by what it had done for her.
In 2012, Sam graduated from the Welsh Institute of chiropractic with a Distinction.
To further her education, Sam is currently completing a series of courses in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilisation (DNS). This primarily focuses on correct core activation in specific postural positions. You can read more about DNS in the services section which explains it in more depth. When completed she will be both a certified DNS Practitioner and DNS Exercise Coach. She has also enrolled on a Matwork Pilates course next year so watch this space.
Since graduating, Sam has found that her passion lies in combining chiropractic with soft tissue techniques and functional rehabilitation. She feels that this combination is perfect to help her patients improve in whatever issue they come in with. She also feels it gives them the tools they need to keep them out of pain and moving well.
Sam loves treating people of all ages and from all walks of life, but she has a special interest in treating CrossFit Athletes and Weight-Lifters. Not only those who come to her with an injury, but also to help improve performance and prevent injuries from occurring. This interest arose due to her own love of the sport which she has been doing for the past 4 years. Personal injuries resulting from not moving as well as she should have has led her down this path. Her goal is to not let this happen to others and help people to keep injury free whilst training.
Anyone that knows Sam will know that outside of work her biggest love is to keep fit. She does CrossFit and Pilates in order to keep herself in shape and to keep her core strong. She also loves to cook and to read.
