Vicki Burke – Practice Manager
Where She Began
Vic is a great advocate of Chiropractic and first started seeing a Chiropractor for neck pain/ migraines, which she suffered from following two car accidents. She now regularly gets adjusted at DCC and finds it beneficial to her health in many ways. She also no longer suffers with the debilitating migraines that she used to, thanks to chiropractic treatment.
Her first role working with a Chiropractic Clinic was in 2012. In 2014 she took on the role of Operations Manager within a local Chiropractic clinic. This role was primarily to oversee the quality, compliance and reporting for NHS contracts that the clinic held with 5 CCG’s in the North West area and delivered at eight satellite clinic locations. As the role developed she took on the role of Practice Manager, working alongside seven practitioners and managing a team of six reception staff.
It was at this clinic that she met Sam and Kate and became good friends as well as work colleagues. In 2018 Vic took on the role of practice manager at DCC and hasn’t looked back.
In 2001 Vic gained her HNC in Business & Management at the University of Chester, which was an enormous personal achievement for her. Gaining the HNC qualification changed her career path and shortly after qualifying she was promoted to Assistant Administration Manager at the Sixth Form College where she worked. She have recently qualified in Bookkeeping at level 2 and am currently studying towards the AAT qualification.
Vic has worked as the Practice Manager at DCC since January 2018 and is responsible for managing the practice on a day to day basis, ensuring a quality service is delivered to all patients. Anyone who knows Vic will tell you that she is very organised! She also enjoys problem solving and devising new systems/processes – skills that she finds useful as a Practice Manager. She loves being part of team DCC as it is such a close knit & supportive team and very patient focused, working together towards the same aim – helping people to improve their lives. Vic takes pride in the fact that DCC is a friendly, relaxed and welcoming practice.
In her spare time Vic loves spending time with her family & friends, practising Yoga, reading & going for long walks in Wales and the Lake District.
